Art 4000 R12 Lettering set
Year: 1976
Description
Seeing this beautiful item came to me as a suprise, since it is proof of distribution of lettering system before 1983.
No catalog I have seen ever shown this...the first mention of lettering system is 1984.
Exact age still not known but most likely it is in the range from 1976-1983.
Old logo is used which takes it definitely before 1983.
Since micronorm and varioscript are used and not isograph or rapidograph might as well be from 1976.
Distributed in Australia by Jasco p/l
Article number is quite unusual for rotring products...S4000 R12
I wonder if 4 digits fit into 1970s rotring system of marking the products.
Comes in beautiful red sturdy metal case with key.
The rotring controlled lettering system permits perfect texting and lettering. Characters may be vertical (90deg) or inclined to right by up to as much as 70deg.
The desired character height can be written in various line thicknesses.
