Beautiful rotring item, part of the 600 series from the beginnings in 1987.
Here is the version with no rotring logo printed, so I believe it is second generation that was produced from 1996 onward.

In photos you can see it compered with black 600 trio first generation...strangely there are many small hardly noticeable differences;
-twist is on the cap, as on first gen. it is on the body
-eraser from first gen, does not fit into this one
so they are definitely not compatible for all parts.

Trio pens are produced now again but in lower quality...recognizable by '3 in 1' writing on the pen.


This particular pen was a gift to rotring museum by Ali Ünlü from Turkey.
Ali has nice collection of his own and he informed me that Rotring brand is very popular there.
