Tikky Retro - mechanical pencils

"Features no-break, shock absorbing retractable tip, built-in eraser, is loaded with high-polymer 2B leads and refillable!
Sleek design features historic rippled grip, and thin, plastic body for light weight and affordability!"

I am pleased to display these brand new rotring pencils, even thou they are not museum pieces, they give a kind of instant classics feeling.
They came out of production in the April 2024.
Available in 3 colors that have kind of metallic matte glow. I like the colors since they are very rich and have a retro look.
Very light, only 10g and comfortable in hand. This is actually first tikky without rubber grip that came out in the very long time.
Has eraser similar to classics.
Nib is retractable, but lacks the mechanism, so sometimes gets stuck.
Clip is the same as on last rubber grip tikkis...would have loved it if it was changed to a bit more retro look.
Mechanism is something completely new, plastic in most parts. Made in China.

The plastic part below the clip seemed a bit strange to me at first, like it was melted...only later I realized
that that part of the plastic has deliberate different texture...which is a nice detail.
They are sold with 2B high-polymer leads, which I find rather unusual decision since default was always HB.
But I like that since I use B hardness more often when drawing.

These were donated to the museum by Newell Brands.
We are grateful for their support.
