Description

R 027102X rotring 700 fountain pen M silver matte prototype

This rather unique silver matte 700 model was seen very rarely and is not shown in any known documentation.
This makes me believe it is a prototype from when rotring was experimenting with final finishes for 700 series which in the end came out all black.
Clip and parts are gold painted.

700 looks beautiful in sliver.
In the last photos you can see it compared to guncolor prototype and regular black model.

DISCREET ELEGANCE

The rotring 700. A symbiosis of classic restraint and bold modernism.
The understated, finely contoured body contasts with the daring clip to achieve a synthesis of unique yet discreet elegance.
Of satin-matt black chrome-finished brass with gleaming chrome-plated appointments.
The diamond-cut grip area affords a steady hold.
The rotring 700 fountain pen with hand-polished iridium-tipped nib comes in 4 nib sizes.
The rollerball has a cushioned point for ultrasmooth writing.
Or select the slender ballpoint, or the pencil with disappearing point.
