027 100X rotring 700 fp EF guncolor prototype

Description

R027100X rotring 700 fountain pen EF guncolor prototype
(not actual article number)

This unique and rare prototype has different finish then usual 700 series.
The body and cap are guncolor and top under the nib part is has mate finish with special dot decoration.

Origins and existing number of these is yet to be discovered.
Highly possible that it was not sold in stores.
Has no 700 written on it.

With EF iridium-tipped nib, airtight closing soft-snap cap.

Firstly rollerball like this one was discovered, and now fountain pen as well.
Shown together in last photos. Now makes me think could ballpoint and mechanical pencil also exist.

DISCREET ELEGANCE
The rotring 700. A symbiosis of classic restraint and bold modernism.
The understated, finely contoured body contrasts with the daring clip to achieve a synthesis of unique yet discreet elegance.

Clip design by Kleffel - Kohnholdt - Gundermann, architects
