Solid metal, matte chrome-plated, featuring exclusive side-knock operation - simply bend the pen for lightning-fast point extension and retraction.

In blue fine-point.


Amazing Rotring series 900, commonly known as side knock.
Available first in chrome and later in matte variation.
Chrome is rarer and considered more expensive.
And most expensive in the series is side-knock mechanical pencil.
Ballpoint was also side-knock, and stylograph (Also called fountain pen without a nib) with normal cap.
Stylograph was actually similar to Altro pens, but metal.
Later they made regular Fountain pen M in chrome version.


Interestingly matte ballpoint existed in two versions.
Side-knock like this one and also topknock which looked almost the same and featured jumbo ballpoint refill.

by 1996 they were not produced anymore.
